Dr Greg Sterling uses state-of-the art techniques (both surgical and non-surgical) in treating all patients. This allows modern techniques to be utilised which have been proven to be more successful and/or less invasive (e.g. arthroscopy or key-hole surgery) than older techniques.
Foot and ankle surgery lends itself to less invasive surgery due to advancing equipment and techniques, along with the problems associated with open (big-cut) techniques such as more swelling and longer recovery times. An arthroscopy can be very effectively used in almost all joints of the foot and ankle, as well as on some tendons!
